About Us

It really seems like yesterday when we met in Texas, and can't believe that it was 17 years ago when we talked and danced all night.  We knew instantly that we were made for each other, but we both had some growing to do.  Cynthia went off to grad school in Illinois and Randy pursued his love of music in a local band in Texas.  We nurtured our love long distance, visiting each other as often as we could and promising that we would both move to San Francisco to build our life together and raise a family. 

Now married 8 years, we’re best friends supporting each other in our dreams and everyday moments.  Our silliness, optimism and flexibility shows through the many activities we share with friends and family, including swing dancing, hikes with our dog Monty, mountain biking, travel and frequent get-togethers with our friends.  An average Saturday includes a long walk with Monty on the beach or in the park, breakfast at our favorite neighborhood café and an evening with friends over at our house, then out to listen to music, dancing or watching a movie.

As soul mates and keepers of each others funny-bones, we have always wanted to share life and laughter with children.  We honestly thought we'd already have a family, but time seemed to move faster than we did.  As a diverse couple, we are excited to adopt a child that is as mixed as we are.
